Arkansas LGBTQ+ Advancement Fund

A new statewide fund called Arkansas LGBTQ+ Advancement Fund supports organizations working to improve the quality of life for LGBTQ+ Arkansans by providing legal, health, education, advocacy or other high-demand services/programs.  

The Fund is supported through grants from the Alice L. Walton Foundation and from Olivia and Tom Walton through the Walton Family Foundation. It is also supported by additional funds from the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation. 

The Fund distributes grants to Arkansas-based organizations that provide critical services to the state’s LGBTQ+ community. National entities with a local presence, established in-state partnerships and strong community relationships also qualify. 

The first round of grants were made from the LGBTQ+ Advancement fund were made in January, 2022. Click here to see the grantees.

We are no longer accepting applications for grants from this fund for round two. The application deadline was Mar. 15, 2022. Grantees will be notified of their application status by April 30, 2022.

A grant selection committee includes leadership from the funder community and representation from the LGBTQ+ community both locally and nationally.  Funds will not be used for lobbying or partisan political activity.
