We are well known for administering scholarships in the spring to deserving high school graduates. The Foundation awards well over $100,000 annually in scholarships ranging from $1000-$10,000. None of this would be possible without the hard work and generosity of our founding affiliate members like the late Evangeline Cothern, who worked tirelessly encouraging families and business to establish scholarship endowments so our high school seniors could advance in their education with help from our community.
The Foundation has tools to assist businesses and families in smart philanthropic giving through endowments. We are truly blessed in Greene County to have this gem of an organization available to our citizens, overseen by a volunteer board of directors and administered by a local Executive Director.
The 21st Century Women’s Endowment was established in 2003 and is the brainchild of Mary Ann Allen and other visionary women in our community as a means to grant to deserving organizations in our county. Mary Ann Allen currently serves as an advisory board member. Joining the 21st Century Women’s Endowment with a one-time gift is an excellent way for women to make a difference and have a voice in meeting the needs of our county and community. If you are interested in joining this group of visionary women, contact Kerri Watson at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 870-236-7718.
