Fayetteville Area Affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation
Serving Washington County.
The Fayetteville Area Community Foundation was founded in 2004 by a group of community leaders to meet the needs of philanthropic-minded individuals in Fayetteville. In 2009, the Fayetteville Community Foundation became an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation to better serve Fayetteville and the surrounding area. Becoming an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation has provided more resources and opportunities to fundholders and local nonprofits. Fayetteville Area Affiliate has continued to grow over the last 10 years to become a thriving community organization serving over 200 fund holders and distributing significant funding to increase the quality of life in Northwest Arkansas. In 2022, the Fayetteville Area Affiliate was honored to be named as the Outstanding Philanthropic Organization at the Association of Fundraising Professional’s National Philanthropy Day celebration.

Grant Cycle
Fall 2026
The Fayetteville Area Affiliate Fall Grant Cycle opens July 10 and closes August 15. The Fall 2026 cycle will fund the following areas:
- Programs supporting childhood physical activity
- Programs supporting early childhood literacy
- Programs addressing food insecurity
- General programs supporting children and families experiencing poverty
- Programs supporting individuals with disabilities
- Programs supporting families experiencing poverty
- Programs supporting animal welfare
Grant awards range from $1,000–$4,000 for the first six areas and $500–$1,000 for animal welfare programs. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, schools, churches, hospitals, and government agencies.

Local Scholarships Available for Fayetteville Area Students
The Fayetteville Area Affiliate has ten scholarship funds that support students in Washington, Benton, Carroll and Madison County In 2025, scholarships were awarded totaling over $30,000.
