Investing in Arkansas Students

We connect students seeking financial assistance with donors who want to help.

Arkansas Community Foundation manages more than 200 private scholarship funds created by individuals, families and companies that want to provide a path to higher education for generations to come. These donors determine the size and eligibility criteria for the scholarships they create, and Arkansas Community Foundation manages the scholarship process on their behalf. We accept applications for many of these scholarships each year.

Info for Scholarship Recipients

Q: I've been awarded a scholarship. How do I claim it?

A: After receiving and award letter from Arkansas Community Foundation's central office in Little Rock, you will need to send in a recipient information form [PDF] and proof that you are enrolled in classes at a university/college. This can be a copy of your class schedule or a letter from the registrar's office. It needs to have the university/college name and all of your current credit hours listed.

Q: Is my scholarship renewable on a year-to-year basis?
A: If your scholarship can be renewed yearly, it will say so on the initial application that you submitted or you will receive a notice with your award letter. If you have a question as to whether you can renew or not, please contact the scholarships coordinator at Arkansas Community Foundation.

Q: My scholarship is renewable, so what do I do when I need to renew it each year?
A: In order to renew a scholarship, students must send in a copy of their transcript including their GPA from the year before AND a letter requesting renewal of their scholarships. Students are responsible for contacting Arkansas Community Foundation in order to have their scholarship renewed.

Info for School Counselors

Q: I'm a counselor at a high school and we have selected our scholarship recipient. What do I do now?

A: Fill out our scholarship recommendation form [PDF] and submit it to our scholarships coordinator at Arkansas Community Foundation's central office. All committee and contact information must be included for the scholarship to be processed.
