Pope County Community Foundation, an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation, was established in 2001 to serve all of Pope County, Ark.  With our dedicated board of directors we are working together with Pope County to promote smart giving to improve our community!

Pope County Community Foundation Awards Giving Tree Grants to 13 Local Nonprofit Organizations

Russellville, Ark. (March 14, 2018) – Pope County Community Foundation, an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation, announced today $22,000.00 in Giving Tree Grants for nonprofits in Pope County.  


“Our Board of Directors had a daunting job deciding upon the recipients this year as there were so many worthy proposals submitted,” said Madelyn Ginsberg, executive director of the Pope County Community Foundation. “We wish that we had the funds to be able to award grants to all of the non-profits that submitted applications, as they are all worthy projects.” “Our Giving Tree program helps Arkansans support a variety of important needs in their own home towns,” said Heather Larkin, president and CEO of the Community Foundation. “Funding for our Giving Tree grants comes from local individuals and families. We invest their donations in endowments that provide a permanent source of funding for charitable causes in local communities across Arkansas.” This year’s Giving Tree grant recipients include: 

  • Age to Age, Inc.; Kidnections Mentoring Program 
  • Age to Age, Inc.; Tutoring and Life Skills 
  • Augsburg Food Pantry; Funds for the food pantry
  • Beatrice Johnson Kiwanis Youth Kamp Foundation; Reconnecting kids with nature 
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of the Arkansas River Valley; Positive Action 
  • CASA of the 5th Judicial District; Christmas Party for children and youth in foster care 
  • CASA of the 5th Judicial District; Finding Family  
  • Choices Pregnancy Resource Clinic, Inc; Fatherhood/Toddler Programs 
  • Equestrian Zone, Riding for a Reason; Arena Project 
  • Main Street Mission; Provide hot meals to people in need 
  • Pottsville Athletic Association; A Field of Angels 
  • River Valley Christian Clinic; Medical, optical and Dental extractions
  • River Valley Food 4 Kids; Fresh food for kids 
  • Royal Family Kids Camp of Pope County: Camp for children in foster care
  • Russ Bus, Inc.; Like Skills Learning Center, Automotive Repair 

 

Pope County Community Foundation makes grants through the Giving Tree program annually. The next grant cycle will begin in January 2019.
