You Can Improve Your Community with a Gift from Your IRA

Did you know that you can make a qualified charitable distribution from  your IRA? Arkansas Community Foundation can accept these kinds of gifts and direct them to a cause that you care about.

Here are the facts:

  • Donors age 70-1/2 and older can transfer up to $100,000 from their IRA to a qualifying charity each year, like Arkansas Community Foundation.
  • The IRA Charitable Rollover provision allows account owners to direct transfers of up to $100,000 each year to qualified charities without treating the distribution as taxable income.
  • The amount transferred may be used to meet the donor's required minimum distribution.
To encourage IRA gifts, Arkansas Community Foundation is offering a special incentive. A dollar for dollar match will be provided for IRA charitable rollover gifts made to any Affiliate Giving Tree endowment prior to June 2018.
