Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation Announces the JRMC Community Health Endowment Grant Cycle

Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation, an affiliate office of Arkansas Community Foundation, announces the JRMC Community Health Endowment grant cycle beginning July 10.  Deadline for online application submission is August 15.

Online applications will be accepted from organizations aimed at educating, assessing and screening members of their organization or the larger community regarding health issues.  Health fairs, risk assessments, screening, outreach and educational programs in schools, churches and businesses are just a few of the opportunities that will be eligible for funding through this grant program.

Eligible organizations are those that serve residents of Jefferson county and surrounding counties, including Arkansas, Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Cleveland, Dallas, Desha, Drew, Grant and Lincoln. Grants will not be awarded directly to individuals but rather to an organization that will, in turn, provide services or programs for individuals. As a condition of the grant, the recipient agrees to supply the community foundation with a report on results and outcomes, and further agrees to permit the community foundation and/or its affiliated organizations to use the grantee’s information for publicity purposes.

This grant program is made possible through a gift from the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in accordance with its goal to bring quality healthcare to the people of Southeast Arkansas.

The following factors are considered, although not exclusively, in reviewing proposals:
  • Capacity of the organization to achieve the results outlined in the proposal
  • Likelihood for success, including adequacy of objectives, methods, budget and timeframe
  • Evidence of a plan for evaluating the success of the program
  • Innovation and creative approach manifested in the proposal
Grants typically range up to $5000
