In August of 2005, the Rotary Club of Heber Springs established the first fully endowed operating grant with the newly formed Cleburne County Community Foundation (CCCF). The CCCF is an affiliate of the Arkansas Community Foundation. Club President Gina Herget made the announcement on behalf of the club's board and membership. Herget said "the membership and board wanted to make a significant contribution to the Foundation. We wanted this grant to serve as a catalyst for other individuals and civic organizations in our county. This grant will serve the Cleburne County Community Foundation as a legacy of The Rotary Club of Heber Springs for generations to come. We are very excited about the future of the Foundation and the help this organization will provide for county residents." |
