Cleburne County Community Foundation (CCCF) is about to celebrate it's fifth year of service.  We have had a year that has shown growth in many ways.   We spend less time explaining who we are and more time sharing our successes.  Our calendar year began with a commitment to find a buyer for the gift of property by Rodney and Bridgette Watson.  The proceeds of this sale are dedicated to strengthening our Operating and Giving Tree Endowments and will complete our goal to secure matching funds for the balance of our challenge fund established by E.G. and Kay VanTrain. 

The highlight of the spring was our third grant cycle.  Grants were given to sixteen non-profits.  Our Grantmking Committee did an amazing job of screening the applicants and providing assistance for health, human services, education, animal welfare, community development and arts & humanities in Cleburne County.  A balanced blend of non-profit representatives, board members and current and potential donors celebrated in style at our popular Red Apple Inn to toast the accomplishments of our affiliate along with our seasoned parent.  

Our Board Members have become more dedicated and continue to open doors to meet the increasing needs of our non-profits.  In June, the Board voted to change to quarterly meetings.  The two other months are dedicated to committee meetings and one-on-one lunches with professional advisors, potential board members and potential donors.  We are plotting our journey and looking at each crossroad with care.  We have been given an awesome opportunity  We don’t intend to fail.  Cleburne County is counting on us.
