Carroll County Community Foundation Grants in Action
In November 2009, Carroll County Community Foundation awarded $25,050 in grants to 16 area nonprofit organizations at a reception held at Brashear’s Furniture Store Showroom. In the past seven years over $50,000 has been granted to fulfill needs in Carroll County.

Programs receiving grants range from Chistmas gifts for foster children, to parenting classes; providing meals for seniors, and educating area youth about the dangers of drugs. 

The Berryville Youth Soccer Association used our grant to purchase funds for goals and nets.












Both Green Forest Elementary and Intermediate schools used their funds to purchase a “literacy library” for ages K-3rd grade and ages 4th-7th grades.



















  • Carroll County Literacy Council was granted funds to purchase a Rosetta Stone Software.
  • Ozark Guidance received needed funds to provide parenting classes.


  • Loves and Fishes recieved funds for Project Self Esteem, which provides backpacks to school children.
  • Flint Street Fellowship was given monies to purchase two refrigerators.
  • Single Parent Scholarship recieved much needed funds to assist single parents with college scholarships.
  • Little Flowers Mission Clinic was given funds to buy diagnostic equipment.
  • Carroll County Salvation Army recieved funds to provide rent assistance.
  • The Carroll County Senior Center received funds to buy a food slicer.
  • Green Forest United Methodist Church received funds to buy tools for their "Home Repair Mission."
  • Good Shepherd Humane Society recived monies to purchas a backup generator.
  • People Helping People recieved funds for prescription assistance.

 

  • Bethel Agape Food Pantry was granted money to provide milk supplements.

 

  • Drug Free Carroll County received a grant to send participants to Teen Summit 2010.

 

36 grants applications were received for this grant cycle, making this year the most successful to date. Due to the nature of the Carroll County Community Foundation grant endowment, the amount available will continue to increase every year. The projection for the grant cycle next year is $25,000. Grant applications for the summer/fall 2010 grant cycle will be available here later in 2010.
