The Pope County Community Foundation makes grants to help improve the quality of life in our community. Find out below information about our grantmaking process and grantmaking stories or click here to download our grant application.
The Pope County Community Foundation has an unrestricted grantmaking fund that allows us to assess the community’s needs and make grants to nonprofit organizations to support those needs. This fund has awarded grants during the four years of operations to the following nonprofit organizations:
Pottsville Elementary and Middle Schools, Big Brothers/ Big Sisters, Counseling Associates, Boys and Girls Clubs of the River Valley, Civil Air Patrol, Pope County 4-H Association, Family Service Agency, Arkansas River Valley Arts Center, Dream Catcher Outdoor Adventure, Crisis Pregnancy Care Center, Pottsville High School, TAB Learning, Help Network, and Russellville Skate Park.
Educational Mini-Grants were awarded to the following schools:
Russellville Middle and Junior High, Pottsville Elementary, Middle and High, Atkins Middle, Hector Elementary and High, Crawford Elementary, and Dover Middle.
The Pope County Community Foundation is continuing to build unrestricted fund through participating in the ARCF PARTNERS program, which is funded by a major grant to the Arkansas Community Foundation by the Walton Family Charitable Support Foundation.
