In 2004, a group of residents in Northwest Arkansas formed an organization that would encourage philanthropy by creating opportunities for nonprofits, corporations and individuals to protect and invest in the people and causes that they loved. That organization is the Fayetteville Community Foundation.

Our mission is to serve as a steward for a wide variety of funds and work with advisors to those funds to nourish their growth so that these types of gifts will endure forever in giving back to the unique community of Fayetteville and the surrounding area.

Since the founding of FCF, we have had an unofficial relationship with Arkansas Community Foundation.  ARCF has been our mentor and partner as we have fostered philanthropy. In 2009, we made that partnership official as we merged with ARCF and became its Washington County local office, Fayetteville Area Community Foundation.

Since its inception, Fayetteville Area Community Foundation has awarded more than $1 million in grants to area nonprofit organizations, and will continue to support the causes that have an impact on the lives of people in our area.
