CLINTON SCHOOL PROJECTS COORDINATOR NAMED

11.11.2009 -  The Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation, with its parent organization the Arkansas Community Foundation, is pleased to report that a working arrangement has been reached with Freddye Petett, a Pine Bluff resident, to provide coordination with the Clinton School of Public Service (CSPS) in an effort to identify and facilitate CSPS student projects in Jefferson County. Petett brings considerable knowledge and experience to this venture including, (retired) Program Officer at the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, (retired) assistant professor at the Clinton School and Founding Director of the Clinton School’s Center on Community Philanthropy.

As part of their studies, CSPS students are required to undertake three projects: a “Practicum” where students work in small teams, an International Project and a Capstone Project. Ms. Petett will help identify and coordinate possible projects that are of importance to the people of Jefferson county and which will provide a challenging and rewarding experience for the students.

“I am very pleased to be working with the Community Foundation and the Clinton School Students.These young people bring such energy and commitment to the communities and projects they are involved in.I look forward to helping unleash this positive resource in our community.”
