Sharing Solutions
ARCF makes grants that enable creative, sustainable solutions to community needs. We look for projects that can be replicated in other communities and build partnerships to share knowledge.
When possible, we make grants that not only benefit the recipient organization but also have the potential to help other organizations in the future.
The resources below were developed with assistance from Arkansas Community Foundation grants. Please download and use them!
Solutions
Arkansas History Hub
Butler Center for Arkansas Studies & Department of Arkansas Heritage
The Butler Center for Arkansas Studies and the Department of Arkansas Heritage received a grant from our Bridge Fund in 2011 to fund the Arkansas History Hub, and interactive online resource for K-12 teachers.
At the hub, you can share lesson plans, find professional development events and plan field trips to enhance your Arkansas history lessons. Visit the hub at www.arhistoryhub.com.
“From the Ground Up” Camp Toolkit
Arkansas Sustainability Network
ASN received a Giving Tree grant from Arkansas Community Foundation in 2009 to implement a gardening camp for children at Felder Alternative Learning Academy’s school farm.
After the camp, ASN compiled its lessons learned and best practices into a toolkit to help other organizations establish similar gardening camps and after-school programs elsewhere in the state.
