Apply for a Science Initiative for Middle Schools (SIMS) Grant

Science experiments can foster students’ curiosity and instill a love of learning, but they can also be costly to execute and can easily exhaust consumable materials for classroom projects.

Our SIMS program provides $500 awards to middle school science teachers to purchase consumable science materials. SIMS is made possible by an endowed gift to the Community Foundation from the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation.

Who's Eligible?

Science teachers in grades 5-8 at public schools in 20 Arkansas counties are eligible to apply. (See “Where We’re Currently Making Grants.”)
