Grants Help Tackle Geriatrics Nursing Shortage Grants totaling $450,000 will enable the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Nursing to continue leading an innovative effort to strengthen the quality of nursing care in Arkansas nursing homes. Announced today as part of a national initiative, Arkansas Community Foundation (ARCF), in partnership with UAMS, received $225,000 from Partners in Nursing’s Future (PIN), in addition to $225,000 raised locally.

$60,380 in Grants Awarded from Delta Endowment Arkansas Community Foundation recently announced a total of $60,380 in grants to six organizations serving the Arkansas Delta region. These grants were awarded from the Arkansas Delta Endowment for Building Community, established at the Foundation in 2009 to provide a source of funding for innovative, community-based projects that will improve social and economic conditions for children and families in 26 Delta counties in Arkansas.

More than $900,000 in ARCF Giving Tree Grants Provided to Arkansas Nonprofits Arkansas Community Foundation (ARCF) recently announced a total of $903,873 in Giving Tree grants awarded over the past 12 months to approximately 500 nonprofit organizations, schools and government agencies across Arkansas. These grants, selected through a competitive process targeting nonprofits in the 40 counties directly served by ARCF, averaged just over $1,600 each and benefitted a wide range of charities, many of which are locally based grassroots organizations.
