The Endowment Foundation of Greene County was founded in 1999 to serve as a philanthropic outlet for the residents of Greene County. Through meeting needs of those in our community, we hope to help make Greene County an even better place to live. Through over 60 endowments, the Endowment Foundation of Greene County has been able to provide over $2.5 million in grants and scholarships since its inception.

$10,000 in Grants Awarded

EFGC's board members presented over $10,000 in grants to 10 different agencies in our fall grant presentations. The grants supported a diverse group of agencies working to improve the quality of life in Greene County. Congratulations to these grantees:

• American Red Cross Northeast Arkansas Chapter, for emergency response materials in Greene County
• Center for Fathers & Families, to offer services to a broader range of clients
• Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas, for food provided to Greene County citizens
• Grace Mission Bible Training Center, for dorm renovation
• Black Stallion Literacy Program, to provide funding for fourth graders to participate in literacy program
• LifeHouse Ministries, to provide journals for sexual health classes
• Reach Out & Read Arkansas, to provide books for the Reach Out & Read Program in Paragould

Greene County Women Make a Difference

The members of the Greene County 21st Century Women's Charitable Endowment recently met to award grants from their funds. At a yearly luncheon, the ladies of the giving circle meet to make grant decisions. This year, organizations benefiting from the endowment include: Agape House, Food Bank of NEA, Grace Mission Bible Training Center, and LifeHouse Ministries.
