Grant Process & Guidelines

Arkansas Community Foundation makes grants to improve the quality of life in our state. Since 1976, we’ve made more than $90 million in grants to causes ranging from animal welfare and environmental stewardship to economic development and hunger relief.

Competitive Grants

We offer several opportunities throughout the year for your organization to apply for ARCF grants.

• Our signature Giving Tree grant program supports a broad range of causes across our state, with grants made in each of our 27 affiliate areas.
• Arkansas Black Hall of Fame Foundation grants are geared toward projects serving African Americans and other minority populations.
• Arkansas Delta Endowment for Building Community grants target initiatives to improve the quality of life in 26 Delta counties.
• Science Initiative for Middle Schools (SIMS) grants provides minigrants to help middle school science teachers purchase materials for hands-on instruction.

Donor-Advised Grants

Many of our grants are recommended by the donors who establish endowments through ARCF. These donors may designate a particular charity to receive grants from their fund each year or may select new grant recipients periodically according to their current charitable interests.
