Since 2005, more than 27,000 students have participated in the Arkansas Career Pathways Initiative (CPI) in order to earn more than 24,000 certificates and degrees.

CPI helps low-income custodial parents and adult caregivers gain the education they need to find good jobs. The program, available through two-year colleges and technical centers across Arkansas, offers assistance navigating the financial aid process, along with extra aid for childcare, transportation, books and other needs.

We spoke to Karon Rosa, director of the Arkansas Career Pathways Initiative, to learn more.
