Fund Options Tailored to Your Clients' Needs

It's not necessary to set up a private foundation in order for your clients to enjoy the benefits of charitable giving. Arkansas Community Foundation offers a variety of fund types that meet the needs of different kinds of donors. We handle the back-office administration and compliance issues, and your clients experience the fun and satisfaction of giving to the causes they care about.

What is your clients' time horizon?

Are your clients interested in setting up endowments that will do good for the causes they care about forever? Or are they excited by the idea of taking immediate action? The Community Foundation has choices that will generate returns for your clients’ communities either way.

Legacy Endowments

We can help those who take a long-term approach with a legacy endowment that offers longevity and stability. Legacy endowments are permanently invested and only a portion of the fund is used each year for grantmaking so that the rest can be reinvested for the future. If the original purpose of the endowment becomes obsolete, funds can be redirected to a closely related cause. Long after they are gone, clients continue to support the causes they care about.

Leadership Funds

Leadership funds are designed for clients who want to enjoy the excitement of giving now and the benefit of investing for future growth. They are invested in the markets to keep client funds growing, but there’s no limit on the amount that can be granted from the fund to the organizations they choose, as long as the fund balance remains above $50,000 for three years.

Action Funds

For clients who want to support a short-term project or take action quickly on an identified need, the Community Foundation offers action funds. These funds are not invested in the markets, so the entire balance is available to grant to the charity of your client’s choice at any time.
