Preventing Chronic School Absence Important to Student Success
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Nov. 14, 2017) – The Make Every Day Count minigrant program, a joint initiative from Arkansas Community Foundation and the Arkansas Campaign for Grade-Level Reading (AR-GLR), recently invited schools to share plans for preventing chronic school absence to help ensure student success in grade-level reading.

Grants available for summer learning programs for pre-K – grade 3: First-round applications due Nov. 17
Summer Learning Initiative grants are intended to support and extend the efforts of the Arkansas Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, which has identified summer learning as one of five key strategies to help Arkansas kids improve their literacy skills by Grade 3. Currently, only 21 percent of Arkansas students have access to quality summer learning programs.

Hot Springs Village Community Foundation Joins Arkansas Community Foundation and Announces New Grant Opportunity for Area Nonprofits
LITTLE ROCK, ARK (July 20, 2017) – Hot Springs Village Community Foundation recently joined Arkansas Community Foundation as the 28th local affiliate and has announced a new grant opportunity for area nonprofits. By visiting arcf.org/givingtree before Aug. 15, nonprofits in Saline and Garland counties can apply for a Giving Tree grant through the new office in Hot Springs Village.

April 6 ArkansasGives Event Delivers a Total of $6.1 Million to Arkansas Nonprofits
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (April 17, 2017) – Arkansas Community Foundation today announced the certified results of the ArkansasGives program, a one-day online giving event April 6 that resulted in $6.1 million for nonprofits statewide. Checks for their portion of the proceeds will be mailed to the nonprofits by early May.
