Pope County Community Foundation, an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation, was established in 2001 to serve all of Pope County, Ark.  With our dedicated board of directors we are working together with Pope County to promote smart giving to improve our community!

Giving Tree Grants

Pope County Community Foundation will accept applications for our Giving Tree grants in January, 2018. 

Pope County Community Foundation Awards Giving Tree Grants to Twelve Local Nonprofit Organizations

Russellville, Ark. April 24, 2017 – Pope County Community Foundation, an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation, announced today $19,500.00 in Giving Tree Grants for nonprofits in Pope County.

 “Many non-profits applied for the grant money, totaling more than $98,000 in applications.” said Madelyn Ginsberg, executive director of the Pope County affiliate, “Choosing which non-profits will receive the grant funds is always a difficult decision. We have so many deserving non-profits that apply. This year the awards were for general charitable purposes.”

“Our Giving Tree program helps Arkansans support a variety of important needs in their own home towns,” said Heather Larkin, president and CEO of the Community Foundation. “Funding for our Giving Tree grants comes from local individuals and families. We invest their donations in endowments that provide a permanent source of funding for charitable causes in our communities.”

Grant recipients include:

  • Age to Age, Inc., Age to Age off site programs
  • Arkansas River Valley Arts Center, Improved Communications
  • Augsburg Food Pantry, Food for the Food Pantry
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of the AR River Valley, Security System
  • CASA of the 5th Judicial District, Christmas Party for Foster Children
  • Equestrian Zone – Riding for a Reason, Raise the Roof
  • No Kill Russellville, Low Cost Spay and Neuter Program
  • Pottsville Athletic Association, A Field of Angels
  • Quilts of Valor Foundation, A Second Tour 
  • River Valley Food 4 Kids, Fresh and Healthy Summer
  • River Valley Shelter for Battered Women & Children, Fresh and Healthy Summer
  • Royal Family Kids Camp of Pope County, Camp for Foster Children of Pope County
Pope County Community Foundation makes grants through the Giving Tree program annually. The next grant cycle will begin in January 2018. More information about Community Foundation grants is available at
