Founded in 1999, Delta Area Community Foundation is focusing on community development and educational objectives in Desha and Lincoln Counties. With an active board of directors and a part-time executive director, we are in the process of establishing endowment funds, building the foundation and awarding grants to meet community needs.

Grant Opportunities

Giving Tree Grants

Grants for general charitable purposes. Nonprofits, schools, government agencies and other charitable organizations serving Desha and Lincoln Counties may apply. Applications are accepted July 10 - August 15 each year. Learn more >>

Science Initiative for Middle Schools (SIMS) Grants

Our SIMS program provides $500 awards to public middle school science teachers (grades 5-8) to purchase consumable science materials. Applications are accepted July 1 - October 1. Learn more >>

Apply for YAC grants now through August 15 

Grants are selected by a committee of local teens; proposed grant projects should serve children and youth in the Dumas area. Grant range - $100 to $1000. Apply now through August 15.

Pope County Community Foundation Awards Giving Tree Grants to Twelve Local Nonprofit Organizations

Russellville, Ark. April 24, 2017 – Pope County Community Foundation, an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation, announced today $19,500.00 in Giving Tree Grants for nonprofits in Pope County.

 “Many non-profits applied for the grant money, totaling more than $98,000 in applications.” said Madelyn Ginsberg, executive director of the Pope County affiliate, “Choosing which non-profits will receive the grant funds is always a difficult decision. We have so many deserving non-profits that apply. This year the awards were for general charitable purposes.”

“Our Giving Tree program helps Arkansans support a variety of important needs in their own home towns,” said Heather Larkin, president and CEO of the Community Foundation. “Funding for our Giving Tree grants comes from local individuals and families. We invest their donations in endowments that provide a permanent source of funding for charitable causes in our communities.”

Pope County Community Foundation makes grants through the Giving Tree program annually. The next grant cycle will begin in January 2018. More information about Community Foundation grants is available at www.arcf.org.
